Descriptions of Other Options

Calendar Options (Active tasks) Description See Example
   a. Subtype icon

Icons used to indicate Monitor, Meeting, Shared tasks etc.

1

   b. Milestone priority

Major Milestones have a Priority attribute which can be displayed on all upstream tasks linked, directly or indirectly, to the Major Milestone. Default = 1

2

   c. Slack

The number of days a task’s completion can be delayed before it becomes the critical path. When Milestone Priority is also displayed, the format is Milestone Priority : Slack.

3

   d. Queued icon

A filled dot indicates that all predecessors have been marked as completed (or the task does not have any predecessors) and the task is ready to be worked on.

4

   e. Empty rows

A resource row is "empty" when there are no Active tasks in the current calendar view or in the past and no Planned tasks in the next two weeks (no tasks in the Backlog) or in the past. This setting is project specific, so if Project A has empty rows and Project B does not, Project B continues to be displayed. Turning off "empty rows" reduces clutter and improves performance.

5

   f. Resources with               empty rows If all projects are "empty" for a resource, the Resource row is removed entirely from the Huddle view. This option is only available if Empty Rows are not displayed. This reduces clutter and improves performance.  6

   g. Whole day total

The total number of hours a resource has on all Active tasks across projects for each day.

7

   h. Segment times Displays each task segment’s Hours of Work.  8
   i. Segments with               zero work Segments with zero Hours of Work.  9

   j. Based On:

          Capacity or                      Availability

The resource utilization dials are based on the resource’s capacity or availability, e.g., 75% of 8 hours (capacity) or 75% of 6 hours (availability). 109
